when all is quiet all through out....

First off! LOOK AT THAT TAN LINE! all from swimming everyday after work! What a tiny little butt butt too!

So things were nice a quiet at the house and i was pleased that sean was happily playing on his own which allowed me to watch my shows....well when it's too quiet it's too quiet. Am I right? Well i was right. he had gotten my concealer and went to town on his face. He said he was painting his face light spiderman. LOL oh well! Laugh it off right? hahahahaha

the day in the life of a budding super hero!

So Sean is way into super heros. Bethy bought a superman onesie and of course Sean had to wear it. here he is wearing it of which he needed a mask to go with his outfit. my favorite is when he puts on the mask he asks "Where Seany?" and then lifts the mask and says "Here i am!" also when he puts the mask back on he says in his "deep" raspy voice "I'm BATMAN!" He's way better than any marine i've met!! lol

Here we are goin to check the mail. he insisted on wearing his "outfit" because he wanted to go fight bad guys. so i guess he is doing us a service by going out and risking his life so that we can go check out mail without the termoil of evil hovering around us.

I guess i should thank him. I did manage to check the mail without any trouble. LOL

So this past weekend i got to go on a kid free, husband free, FREE cruise weekend with my sister and friend Stacey. We were supposed to go to Ensenada(sp?) Mexico but because of that H1N1 crap we got to go from Long Beach to Catalina Island. Now that's fine. it just sucked cuz catalina is like 45 min from Long Beach.LOL i know! they had to stretch a 3 day cruise around a 45 minute boat ride. So we cirlced around a bit. hahahahaha it was fun still. The crappy part was actually when we had to get off. it was a 2 hour wait gettin through customs even though we never left the US. Ridiculous!!!! the highlight of that trip though was we got tickets to Six Flags Magic Mountain for 25 bucks! In case you were wondering......YES IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!! Except when stacey barfed on the riddler ride and some of it got on me.....gag! yeah when you're strapped in you can't run from it! it reminded me of when my friend Marcy and I went to Lagoon with the Tylers and one of the Tylers barfed on a kiddy ride. lol so here are a few pics from my trip....

ESSSCAAPPEEE to New Mexico!

I know i haven't posted any easter pics. that's because sean didn't spend easter with me. Bethy was driving to carlsbad and after weeks of begging and crying from my mom and bethy so i agreed to send him down there. I know i'm a terrible mom for not spending easter with my son but honestly i hate holidays and i have a bad attitude towards them and i'd rather he spend it with people that would make a big deal out of it. I know i'm terrible. anyways so i got to go down and help bethy drive back. instead of someone pick me up in el paso i got to fly on a CESNA! yeah one of those small planes!!! it was just me and the two pilots and one was my age and the other was 22!!! so yeah it was scary! Obviously i landed safely or else i wouldn't be here to write this but still! it actually wasn't to bad in the air but take off and landing was like a roller coaster! So here a few pics of our trip.

Ok so only us new mexicans in the middle of the desert would have a place called "the beach." it's a place they cleared off by the pecos river and put sand and called it a beach. lol but's it's awesome and not matter how dirty the water was it was a blast! Am I right buckner cousins? lol

I look forward to showing my kids the same places we used to go there and lettin him explore grandpa great's(my grandpa buckner) land and the 1/2 mile of river that's all ours. Good times.

JAM ja JAM ja JAM JAM JAM!mmmmmmmm

So last night i decided it was time to make jam. my mom and aunt make the best freezer jam. my aunt always sends me home with some everytime i visit her. *note to self: visit barbi more often* anyways i was there easter sunday to visit her son marcus who just got home from his mission and it was his homecoming. after much talk about canning (it is a goal of mine to do) i told here i was craving strawburry freezer jam. she told me it was easy and that's all it took. so for 6 bucks i made 9 jam jars and 4 freezer packs of strawburry jam....let me tell you it is delicious! WOOT! i'm so proud of my self. now so i can enjoy my jam i have to bake fresh bread.....let us see if that works cuz i'm not very good at it. lol anyways i just wanted to brag a little since i'm the very opposite of a handy homemaker. I don't sew, barely cook, and there are no crafts in my house! i burp, fart and scratch myself instead! lol so this is my one step closer to being a good ol' wife. Plus i'm strangely addicted to old school ways like canning and such. i feel it's a lost art. it's something i think would be cool to pass down to my daughters or since i'm only having the one kid maybe his wife would do it with me. :)
